So high. Devil's Thumb Ranch is at an altitude of 8,500 ft. For those who experience altitude sickness, you may want to stay a night in Denver prior to driving to Devil's Thumb Ranch so that your body has time to acclimate at a lower altitude. Oxygen canisters will be available for guests in the wedding hospitality suite at Devil's Thumb Ranch, and there are various medications that can be prescribed and/or purchased prior to your trip to help minimize altitude sickness. Please also note that the high altitude may increase the effects of alcohol consumption, so please drink some water in between shots.
It's anybody's guess. The average temperature in Tabernash that weekend spans from a high of 65 degrees to a low of 34 degrees. However, it hit 80 degrees during the day this past year on April 30th, and other years it has snowed. Please bring warmer clothes and coats for the evenings, a shawl or jacket for the ceremony, and make sure to check the weather in the days leading up to the wedding weekend.
No, all wedding events are adults only. If you plan to travel with children, please reach out to Devil's Thumb Ranch for local childcare recommendations.
