Things to Do (by Bo)

The Wedding Website of Sofie Jacobs and Jake Greif
Bo is so excited you'll be in celebrating us in one of his favorite cities! To help you have a great time the whole weekend, please check out our favorite coffee shops, activities, and restaurants below.

Activities

Places to Explore in DC

1. Check out the Portrait Gallery - Our wedding venue! Go before the big night to see the galleries. 2. Walk around Logan Circle - We lived in Logan Circle, so we’re a bit biased when we say it’s the cutest neighborhood in DC. Take a stroll up 14th street for shopping and restaurants (Salt & Sundry is our favorite), and pop up Swann for one of the prettiest streets in DC. 3. Walk the Mall- And no, we don’t mean Nordstrom's! See the Washington Monument, World War II Monument, Reflecting Pool, Lincoln Memorial, and so much more. If that wasn’t enough, the Smithsonian museums are all located around the mall, too!

Restaurants

Places to Eat in DC

1. Reveler’s Hour - For a nicer dinner, this is our favorite spot in DC. The pasta is amazing, second only to their wine list. 2. Zaytinya - A Jose Andres restaurant across the street from the Portrait Gallery, this Mediterranean spot is a favorite of Sofie and Jake’s (and their families’!). Their pita and hummus (and baba ghanoush, and tzatziki, and…) are second to none. 3. Shouk - Located close to the hotels, this kosher falafel shop is a fast and easy - and delicious! - lunch. 4. St. Vincent - This outdoor restaurant is modeled after Bacchanal, one of our favorite wine bars in New Orleans, and is a wine-and-cheese-plate paradise. Plus - live music!

Coffee Shops

Places to Caffeinate in DC

1. TCB [The Coffee Bar] - When we lived in DC, we loved taking Bo on walks and stopping at TCB's patio for coffee on weekend mornings! 2. Slipstream - Logan Circle is just a block away, so grab a coffee here and check out the neighborhood. 3. A Baked Joint - Anyone who lives in DC will tell you Baked & Wired’s cupcakes are way better than Georgetown Cupcakes. This is Baked & Wired’s restaurant, and is conveniently located blocks from our hotel for coffee, lunch, and a Baked & Wired cupcake!

Bars

Places to Drink in DC

1. Calico- Our first date spot! Grab a drink (and maybe the tater tots), and don’t forget to check out the rest of Blagden Alley while you’re there. 2. Garden District - A go-to when we lived on 14th street. Bo is also a Garden District regular. 3. The Green Zone - One of the best cocktail bars in the city, according to Washington, Eater, The Washington Post, and…us. Their Mint Lemonade is the perfect drink for a June day in DC.
