We have planned a day at the lake, our favorite spot in El Salvador. If you wish to stay longer, here are some day trips we would recommend. Generally, we recommend booking day tours online. - La Libertad: La Libertad is an area with some of the best surfing beaches in the world. This area hosted the World Surfing League championship tournament in June 2022. There's plenty of hotels you could spend the night in (Check out Puro Surf, Hotel Casa de Mar, and Acantilados). All of these hotels offer day passes for around 30USD (please check the specific deals with the hotel.) For restaurants in the area, we would also recommend Beto's, Covana, and Cafe Sunzal. - Volcan de Santa Ana hike & Coffee tours: You will be able to see the volcano's turquoise crater at the top of the hike. We would recommend booking a tour online. Near the Volcan de Santa Ana, there are several coffee plantations, where you can take tours.
