Question

What are your COVID-19 safety protocols?

Answer

We are happy to say that given the recent decline in COVID-19 cases, we no longer require a negative test to enter our event. However, please use your best judgement. We appreciate you if you choose to test yourself anyway before the event as an extra precaution. The closer to the event time that you can take the test, the better. We recommend testing the morning of the wedding. We thank you in advance for your assistance in keeping everyone safe. If you are traveling to the wedding via airplane, we recommend that you wear a mask on the plane and in the airport, especially if you are unvaccinated. COVID-19 is still prevalent in Southern California, so if you are planning any local activities before the wedding, we recommend wearing a mask and avoiding large crowds when possible. We appreciate your understanding. IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING COLD OR FLU-LIKE SYMPTOMS, HAVE RECENTLY BEEN IN CLOSE CONTACT WITH SOMEONE WHO HAS TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19, OR ARE FEELING UNWELL IN ANY CAPACITY, PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND. What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is black tie preferred. Go all out! This is a FANCY party. Gowns and tuxedos are encouraged (but not required). Wear that dress you can't wear anywhere else. It's not too much, we promise. We’d love to see lots of color! Hot pink? Great! Sequins? We love it! Feathers? Why not? Just please don’t wear white (or any iteration of white, such as ivory, cream, bone, etc.), for obvious reasons.

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

The closest airport to the venue is San Diego International Airport. However, you can also fly into John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana, Long Beach Airport, or LAX.

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

You don't have to, but we recommend renting a car! You might want to if you plan on exploring San Diego. You can find cheaper rates through Costco's car rental program, Uber one day car rentals, or the app Turo.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

October is one of the most beautiful months of the year in Southern California. That being said, it can still get quite hot. Be prepared for daytime temperatures between 70 and 95 degrees, and nighttime temperatures between 55 and 70 degrees.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding is being held at a 100-year-old castle, but the entire event will be outside. Please plan your attire accordingly. There is only air conditioning in certain rooms inside the castle.

What time should I arrive at the venue?

Answer

Please arrive at the venue up to 30 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. The ceremony will begin at 4:00pm. We recommend arriving no later than 3:45pm.

Why didn't I get a plus one?

Answer

Due to the number of people we are able to have in attendance, we are limiting our guests to only people that we know personally. We are looking forward to an intimate gathering of our nearest and dearest! Not sure if you got a plus one? You can always ask us!

Will you provide transportation to/from the venue?

Answer

We will be providing a shuttle at the end of the evening to take some guests back to the Hampton Inn from the venue.

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! Mt. Woodson has ample parking just a few steps away from the front of the castle.

Question

What is the time difference between the East and West Coast?

Answer

California is 3 hours behind the east coast. So when it is 3pm in New York, it is 12pm in California. Please factor the time difference into your travel plans! We do not recommend flying to California on the day of the wedding because of the time difference.
