FAQs

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail. For women, this could be a knee to full length dress or nice jumpsuit. For men, a well tailored blazer or suit and tie is perfect.

Question

Is the reception indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Cocktail hour is outdoors, dinner is in a climate controlled barn and the dance floor is outside under the tent. Unless you wish to check out White Chimney's pasture, you will not need to walk on grass, so feel free to wear your stilettos.

Question

What should I expect for the Catholic ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony, also called a Nuptial Mass, takes 45 minutes to 1 hour. Throughout the mass there will be periods of sitting, standing and kneeling. Feel free to follow along or remain seated if more comfortable. There will be a detailed program to follow along with the mass.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

St.Mary's parking lot is directly across from the church and is $1 per hour. There is a large, free parking lot at White Chimneys.
