Discovery Green

Discovery Green is a downtown park offers free yoga classes, movie nights and toddler story times. The park has a playground, spray fountain and Mist Tree, great for hot Houston days. Enjoy free WiFi and open air reading rooms, or borrow balls or games. In the fall and winter months you can even enjoy ice skating at their outdoor ice rink.

Heights Bier Garten

Cozy indoor and outdoor wine, beer, and cocktail bar in the Houston Heights neighborhood that also offers delicious food. It is flanked by two bar counters and anchored by a large pet-friendly courtyard with ample seating and bench swings.

Houston Museum of Natural Science

The Houston Museum of Natural Science is home to a vast collection of mineral specimens, dinosaur skeletons, space station models, a planetarium, an IMAX theater and a six-story butterfly center where you can interact with the butterflies. General admission is free on a first come, first serve basis on Tuesdays from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.

The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston

The collections at The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston cover world art from across several different world cultures including paintings, gold, decorative arts and design, photography, prints and drawings, painting and sculpture. MFAH is also home to several immersive and interactive installations that are definitely worth checking out!
