Travel Note

Travel information

Traveling from the city back to the airport can take quite some time. Traffic and airport security fluctuate, so always give yourself much more time than you think you need. I don´t recommend booking a flight before noon. There are 3 airports you can fly into: JFK- Airtrain ($8) ➡️ subway ($3) = $11 Direct Bus ($13) ➡️ subway ($3) = $16 Direct Bus ($13) ➡️ cab ($5-$20) = $18-$33 Uber/lyft = $75+ LGA (LaGuardia)- Q70 bus (free) ➡️ subway ($3) = $3 Express bus ($12) ➡️ subway ($3) = $15 Uber/lyft = $50+ EWR (Newark)- NJ transit train ($15) ➡️ subway ($3) = $18 NJ transit ($15) ➡️ cab ($5-$20) = $20-$35 Uber/lyft = $55+ Hotels: ** It’s preferable to stay in Manhattan (not Brooklyn, Harlem, or the Bronx), anywhere below 90th street (refer to Google maps). Austin and I are staying at the Ludlow Hotel in the lower east side. Low end- $250/night give or take Average- $300-$450 High- $500+ *Most hotel rooms are very small Utilize hotels.com, Airbnb, etc. Transportation: in the city it is much more convenient to walk *most of the time*. If it’s a far walk (35+ mins) the best mode of transportation is a subway ($3 per ride). Last is a cab/Uber (except on the wedding day- you’ll want to Uber ) They’re the most expensive option and depending on the time of day and where you’re going, sometimes they move at a snails pace.
