We're Getting Married!

After graduating high school in June of 2017, Colin and Soleine both went down to Corolla, NC for a celebratory Beach Week. Colin went to Beach Week, against the wishes of his parents, only 3 weeks before departing for Beast at West Point. Soleine traveled down despite being on crutches for a torn ACL and meniscus, not knowing that Corolla’s beaches were plagued by stairs. However, these stairs led one of Colin's friends to offer her a lift and an invitation for the groups to hang out later that night. While at the house party, Colin saw Soleine for the first time. Colin made bold moves to woo Soleine, which included gracefully hurdling a couch in order to sit next to her. He claims he had to make such bold moves because Soleine was unfortunately on crutches, which prevented her from moving towards him first. She claims, the crutches were a blessing for him, because she was unable to escape said bold moves. Anyhooser, Soleine and Colin were inseparable throughout Beach Week and the remainder of Colin’s time before Beast, and they decided to continue dating going into college. Through three years of letters, FaceTimes, and frequent visits, their love continued to grow stronger!

Colin had planned a beautiful proposal for Soleine at one of their favorite spots on Penn’s campus, but, as Colin often does, he had ruined the surprise, revealing his master plan when Soleine stumbled upon a detailed and compromising note while cleaning his room (wifey material). Back to the drawing board :( Despite this major blow, Colin formulated a new master plan to propose to Soleine. While skiing over Spring Break in Breckenridge, Colorado, Colin set his plan into action. On the last run before heading in for lunch, Colin stopped mid-slope and faked a boot malfunction. Soleine, seeing nothing wrong with his boot, brushed this off as Colin being weird and swiftly skied all the way down to lunch. Colin’s master plan foiled once again :’( Beaten but not yet defeated, Colin raced after Soleine, unable to catch her until meeting at the base of the mountain. After rushing through lunch, Colin proposed to Soleine overlooking the mountains. Third time’s the charm :)
