The long story: In the spring of 2022, a friend of Natalie's persuaded her to join the dating app, Hinge. A few weeks (and some bad dates) later, Natalie happened upon a photo of "a cute guy with a dog". She decided to "like" his profile after reading his favorite animal fact: cows have best friends within their cow communities. After some playful banter, and some gathering of background information (it is the internet, after all...), Joe asked Natalie out to dinner. The night before this exciting day, Natalie cancelled! Thanks, Covid... Ten days (and some quarantine) later, the two met for dinner and tried once more to have their first date... only to find out that the kitchen of the restaurant had electrical problems and was closed for the night. Luckily, there were many restaurants within the area, so they pivoted, and finally had their first date! The first things Natalie noticed were Joe's red Converse, his smile, and the ease of their conversation. Joe was blown away by Natalie's eyes, how smart & charming she was, and how comfortable they were around each other from the start... oh, and the chicken sandwich he had for dinner was pretty good too. They met for coffee a few days later at a spot neither had been to before but that has since become their shared favorite coffee spot (Little Goat!). The two then started seeing each other practically every day! A year and a half later, Natalie and Joe got engaged! Their wedding is almost 3 years to the day of when Natalie first liked that picture of Joe.
