Ben and Chelsea matched with each other in a dating app in November, 2014, and the rest is history! Ok, but seriously, Chelsea still raves to anyone who will listen about how much thought Ben put into planning their first dates. Date #1, they went to a sushi spot for dinner. Ben misspoke and ordered his drink wrong, and the waitress found it so amusing she spent most of their date chatting with them (apparently oblivious to the fact that it was a first date). Apparently Chelsea talked about her love of dogs a lot on that date, because for date #2, Ben took her to a pet store to play with puppies. They named and played with them all, then went for poutine. Puppies, cheese curds, and french fries in one date, pretty much sealed the deal right then and there...

On their fifth anniversary, Ben took Chelsea to dinner at the restaurant where they had their first date. Well, close enough. It was no longer in the same location, but they made it back all the same. After dinner ended, while they were walking to the car, Ben got down on one knee and asked Chelsea to marry him. Five years, four apartments, 3 states, 2 cross-country moves, 1 dog, and numerous job changes....they're finally engaged!
