The Wedding Website of Taylor Gifford and Scott Soares
Meet our family & friends who are walking down the aisle with us.

Nathan

Best Man

Nathan & Scott met in 8th grade history class at Golden West Middle School when they were assigned to work on a project together. Little did they know that the assignment would lead to forming a brother-like bond that would carry through high school and their college years at CSU Monterey Bay. Nathan and Scott have shared endless laughs and countless good times.

Rahbekah "Bekki"

Maid of Honor

Better known by Taylor & family as "Bekki" has been an amazing & influential best friend that has seen the bride in many good & not so good moments of life. They had met in high school playing on the JV softball team from then, the rest was history. She & the bride have been long distant friends for 13 years. But time never seems to pass when they reunite. The bride is honored that she has accepted the role of being her Maid of Honor aka bouquet holder & dress floofer.

Abraham "AB"

Groomsman

AB and Scott met through their work together at Hollister Hills State Park. AB, reluctant at first, began hanging out with Scott on the weekends where they would wrench on an old Honda CB750 motorcycle endlessly, listen to music, and, of course, throw back Bud Lights. AB is the kind of friend you can count on for anything, and has helped with projects of all kinds. He has an infectious laugh and a heart of gold.

Stacy

Bridesmaid

Stacy is the bride's cousin & best friend. She has been an amazing influence on the bride, loving & always supporting her through all stages of life. From playing mermaids & George Washington in the pool as children to enjoying each others laugh until we cry moments as adults, she is truly someone special in the bride’s life. The bride cannot imagine the big day without Stacy by her side & is honored she has accepted being a bridesmaid.

Shannon

Groomsman

Die hard Oakland A's fans are fairly rare. Scott and Shannon aka Big Shan Dog aka the Big Fella met in Chemistry 109 at CSU Monterey Bay. Shannon, similarly to Scott, rocked a well-worn green and yellow A's hat. When you're an A's fan, you notice these kinds of things. The two began commiserating about the A's as they walked between classes, and little did either know those moments would be the start of a lifelong friendship.

Michelle

Bridesmaid

Michelle is the bride's future Sister in Law; officially. She met the bride a couple years (2 to be exact) prior to the groom & bride dating. Michelle is a loving & supportive figure in the bride's life who is always making her laugh & enjoy their time together. The bride is honored she has accepted being a bridesmaid.

Clay

Groomsman

Clay lived across the hall from Scott in the dorms of Building 205 at CSU Monterey Bay. Scott, living with Nathan, and Clay, living with Bryce, quickly became friends. Scott fondly recalls beer runs in Clay's beat down 7 series BMW from the 90s and playing beer pong for the first time. Clay is an incredible friend, loyal, quick witted, and hilarious.

Megan

Bridesmaid

Megan & the bride had met each other at the bride's first job as an LVN. The bride saw Megan’s beautiful long hair, loved her bubbly personality & knew they would become friends. She is a strong empowering figure that has supported the bride in more ways than she will know. She has shared many memories with the bride in 7 years & is honored she has accepted being a bridesmaid.

Bryce

Groomsman

Bryce, or Bleo, and Clay lived across the hall from Scott and Nathan freshmen year at CSU Monterey Bay. The four quickly became close friends. Bryce had a similar major as Scott and the two would often be found studying together in their more difficult classes in the latter years of college.

Sydney

Bridesmaid

Sydney & the bride had met at her first job as an LVN 7 years ago. With a mutual interest in baking, crafting & cats they quickly became friends. She is an independent, humorous & loving figure that has supported the bride in more ways than she will understand. The bride's is honored she has accepted being a bridesmaid.

Chris

Groomsman

Chris is the bride's little brother & the groom's future brother in law. Chris & the bride have been by each other’s side since day one, for all big & small events in their lives together. A few favorite memories the bride has of Chris is, holding his hand while going through the scary carwash as children. Chris jamming out to AC/DC with their dad’s old boombox, & jumping off boulders during summer at their favorite lake. But most of all, is knowing Chris will be apart of the bride & groom’s wedding day.

Keri

Bridesmaid

Keri is the bride's childhood best friend of 23 years. They had met in 2nd grade & could not have imagined they would be here today celebrating a wedding. As the bride had told the groom "Majority of my childhood memories are with Keri and this is another memory I want her to be apart of." The bride couldn’t imagine this special day without her & is honored she has accepted being a bridesmaid.

Michaela

Bridesmaid

Fate brought Michaela & the bride together. She is the wife to the groom's best friend/best man. While Michaela & the bride had known of each other for years they truly connected when they both moved to the Sacramento area. Michaela has not only become a friend to the bride but has become family. The bride is honored she has accepted being a bridesmaid.

Ryan

Groomsman

Ryan and Scott went to high school together but din't become friends until shortly after graduation. The two bonded over during a camping trip to a hellish place called Rancho Seco. Even though the two went to different colleges, they have remained close friends throughout the years. For anyone who has spent time with Ryan and Scott, they know that the two love to relentlessly tease each other. They also enjoyed traveling together, from camping trips, trips to Cabo, and then a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Japan.

Rosa

Bridesmaid

Rosa & the bride met by giving shift report to each other as LVN's. But as time went on they both realized how much they looked forward to working with each other. Rosa then became the bride's work bestie. While they have only known each other for a few years, it feels like they have known each other for decades. The bride is honored she has accepted being a bridesmaid.

Josh

Groomsman

Josh and Scott met at Hollister Hills State Park where they worked together for a number of years. Josh and Scott became quick friends, sharing a love for vocabulary (oddly enough) with each often trying to use the better, most appropriate word for a given situation. Josh is absolutely hilarious and enjoys making people laugh.

Brian

Officiant

Brian, who most people know by his last name Bump, and Scott met freshmen year at CSU Monterey Bay. Bump and Scott have spent many hours together mountain biking through Fort Ord, golfing, traveling, or simply hanging out. Brian has a heart of gold and has been a truly positive and influential presence in Scott's life. Taylor and Scott are thrilled and honored that Bump is officiating the ceremony.
