We discovered this hotel en route to Healey Barn. Located about ten minutes away from the wedding venue by car, there are a selection of family and twin rooms available, many of which boasting gorgeous views of the Derwent Valley. Sleeps 2-4 (based on current availability), roughly £150 a night. A pumpkin decorating event is also happening on the 24th if you are planning to spend the weekend in Northumberland and find yourself at a loose end after the wedding celebrations have concluded. ///cook.decisive.newsreel

A village pub that offers rooms for between £150-170 a night, all named after Northumbrian rivers. Dog-friendly rooms are available for an extra £10—though please be aware no dogs are allowed at the wedding venue itself. A mile from the wedding venue stands Healey Hall, with its adjoining Coach House and Stable Cottage available for parties of up to six or seven, or even eight. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, bathtub, and wood-burning stove. According to current availability, the Coach House and Stable Cottage are not available on the night of the 22nd October, so if you will be staying in Northumberland prior to the wedding we recommend choosing another accommodation. The closest settlement to Healey Barn accessible by train is Riding Mill, with Northern Rail offering a direct route from Newcastle station.

If travelling to the venue from one of the recommended accommodations, please note the estimated cost of an Uber is between £10-20 (last checked 04.04.26). Executive Taxis operate within the Northumberland area and are based in Riding Mill, offering taxi services for wedding guests to Healey Barn. Air Travel

If travelling from Romania, we recommend Wizz Air for cheap flights to the UK. Please bear in mind additional travel will need to be arranged from Luton Airport to take you up north. To our guests travelling from other climes, the nearest airport to the venue is Newcastle International (NCL).
