The Lodge is approximately a five minute walk from the Castle. The Old Stable Mews are set within the middle of the Estate, a ten to fifteen minutes' walk from the Castle. For the return, Castle Leslie operates an Estate Vehicle, which is available at any time to transfer you from the Castle to the Lodge or Mews, on a request basis, and is complimentary.
We are planning on having the ceremony outside, but we will be able to make a final call on the wedding day in case of rain. Stiletto heels are not recommended as we may be on grass and / or gravel.
Yes - please see details of the dress codes for each event below or on the "Schedule" page. For the Welcome Party: Semi-formal attire is requested. For men, this includes a collared shirt and chinos or dress pants, but a blazer is optional. For ladies, mid or floor length dresses are requested. Ladies may also wear a dressy jumpsuit, if preferred. We are encouraging our guests to wear color and patterns, if they so choose. For the Wedding Day: we would love to see our guests dressed up! Formal attire is requested. For men, this includes a suit and tie. A tuxedo is not required, but feel free to wear it if you would like. For ladies, gowns or floor length dresses are requested. We are also encouraging our guests to wear color and patterns, if they so choose. For the Day-After Lunch: attire can be casual and comfortable!
Expressway operates services to and from the Dublin Airport to Monaghan, where you can take a short 10 mile taxi ride to Castle Leslie. Expressway buses depart from Zones 12 and 13 in the Dublin Airport Bus Park.
