Caleb and I met on January 31, 2020 at a party for his fraternity, KA, at Jacksonville State. I was a freshman and he was a junior. We immediately hit it off and started trying to begin a relationship. We started dating on February 8, 2020. Almost 2 weeks into us being together I knew I had fallen in love with him. He was the most goofy gentleman I had ever met. Flash forward almost a year and a half, Caleb graduated college and went into the US Army as a Second Lieutenant and I moved back in with my parents. He then moved to Fort Benning, GA to complete Basic Officers Leadership Course. After completing his training, he moved to Fort Bragg, North Carolina where he lives now. On December 16, 2022, Caleb took me out to dinner at Carrabbas Italian Grill. I got a new drink that I had never tried before, the Sicilian Margarita, and as we were leaving I said “Man this tequila is really hitting!” And from behind me I heard him ask “How does this hit you?” I turned around and he was on one knee in the parking lot, asking me to marry him. At first, I thought it was a joke until I realized that he was serious and I began crying and I believe I screamed “Yes!” Becoming his fiancée was the greatest Christmas present I could’ve ever gotten!
