FAQs

Question

Is there a wedding room block or discount?

Answer

Yes! Please see the 'Travel' tab. Make your reservation by August 4th to receive the discounted rate.

Question

What is the wedding attire?

Answer

We kindly ask the gentlemen to wear suits with ties, and the women to wear floor length or midi dresses. (Tuxes for gentlemen are optional)

Question

Where do I park for the wedding?

Answer

The Dayton Art Institute has a parking lot. You are able to keep your car there overnight however, you must let the museum or our wedding coordinator know when you arrive if you plan to keep your car there overnight. (Please have your license plate # ready to share with them so they can alert security to not tow your car)

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving half an hour prior to the ceremony to peruse the galleries and to get settled in your seats. The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30pm.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We’re keeping the ceremony unplugged — that means no phones or cameras, please! We’d love for everyone to just relax, be present, and enjoy the moment with us. Don’t worry — we’ll have plenty of amazing photos to share afterward!

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Unfortunately, as much as we’d love to invite all of our family and friends’ children, we can only accommodate a few close family children that are in the wedding party. We hope that you will understand this decision and that you will still be able to join us on our special day.
