It was a cold and rainy day. We were walking up to the start line of the 2019 Indianapolis Mini-Marathon already soaked from head to toe. Believe me when I tell you that we have never ran the first seven miles so fast... I mean we were running (insert Forrest Gump). To me it made sense though, we were cold and we wanted to get it done. To Andrew, he had a totally different perspective. We are now on the track at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Andrew is now having 'a hamstring cramp' and he is suggesting that we kiss the bricks to give him a rest and stretch. Now let me add, this was our fourth time doing this race and we have never stopped to kiss the bricks. We get passed kissing the bricks and there he is... on one knee.. in the pouring rain.. half way through 13.1 miles... asking me to marry him!
