How They Met

6.23.20

Back in 2020, Meghan worked at Bath & Body Works with one of Jimmy's friend's mom. Jimmy and his friend decided to stop in one day to visit his mom at work, when they first noticed each other. Jimmy and his friend left, and the friends mom pulled Meghan aside saying, "That was my son's friend Jimmy, he's cute, isn't he?" Meghan said "Yes, he is very cute". Minutes later Jimmy and his friend came back in, and he was told he wasn't allowed to leave until he asked Meghan for her number. *Jimmy walks up to Meghan while she's in the middle of helping a customer* "So, I heard you like moonshine." Said Jimmy. Meghan and Jimmy talk for a couple minutes about moonshine and Gatlinburg until Jimmy asks for her number and leaves the store after getting a "sure" from Meghan to go on a date.

The First Date

7.11.2020

The day they met; Meghan had to leave work early as she found out she had COVID, which lead the first date being postponed 2-weeks. During those 2 weeks Jimmy was texting Meghan and asking her all the questions under the sun while Meghan didn't ask him one question. Jimmy was starting to question if she really liked him or not... The day of their first date, Jimmy picks Meghan up to go to dinner at a Mexican restaurant. Meghan is so nervous she barely touches her food but drains 2 margaritas. She won't stop talking finally asking Jimmy a bunch of questions. Once they were almost done at dinner, Jimmy gets a phone call from a friend asking where he is. He was supposed to be at a Bridal shower for the same friend that introduced us. Jimmy asked Meghan if she would like to go, and she said yes. Meghan is handed drink after drink, shot after shot from all of Jimmy's friends and never says no as she doesn't want them to think she can't handle her alcohol. Fast forward 3-4 hours, Meghan is getting the keys to her neighbor's house to let the dogs out that she was watching. She unlocks the door perfectly and runs straight to the bathroom to throw up. Jimmy took care of the dogs while she was getting sick, then came to help her. While they are sitting on the bathroom floor, she pours her heart out to Jimmy, telling him what she wants and doesn't want in a relationship. "You can throw me away like a piece of trash if you want" she says to Jimmy. And for some reason he texted her the next day and asked if she wanted to go out again...

The Proposal

12.31.2023

Let's start this off with saying Meghan thought she was planning this whole day, when in fact, Jimmy actually was... Lots of family and friends were sick around the holidays so they planned to do something on their own for new years to keep others from getting sick. Meghan and Jimmy just decided to go out to dinner and go ice skating then head back home for the night. Meghan Chose the ice skating, Jimmy chose the restaurant, which was The Incline, the restaurant where Jimmy asked Meghan to be his girlfriend. Once they arrived at The Incline, they realized it was closed even though the website said they were open. They quickly found a nearby restaurant to eat at. Of course, it was a Mexican restaurant. they had some of the best chips and strong margaritas. (Fitting that their first date was at a Mexican restaurant, right?) Fun Fact: Jimmy is great at directions and Meghan is not. They get in the car to head to ice skating downtown and Jimmy pulls out his phone to put direction in. His phone announces, "directions to Eden Park"... Meghan slightly confused in the passenger seat doesn't say anything but is thinking "Maybe he just knows a shortcut and you have to go towards Eden Park?" But then, he pulls into Eden Park. He helps Meghan out of the truck and walks her over to see the city all lit up to ask her a very important question.

For all the days along the way
