The museum is home to countless one-of-a-kind objects. Their collection now includes more than 350 aerospace vehicles and missiles, thousands of artifacts, and spans 20 indoor acres with additional outdoor Air and Memorial Parks that continue to grow every year. This is one of Daniel's top recommendations!
Forty-five minutes North of Columbus is The Ohio State Reformatory. We highly recommend taking a tour of this beautiful building. It is full of history both tragic and inspiring, and you may recognize it as the film location for Shawshank Redemption.
If you're a thrill seeker, there’s no better place to visit than Cedar Point, the roller coaster capital of the world! This iconic amusement park, which opened in 1870, is the second oldest in the United States. Now, 155 years later, Cedar Point boasts 68 rides, including five of the world’s top-rated roller coasters. Amber grew up spending her summers on her family’s boat at the Cedar Point Marina, and many weekends were spent running around the park with her siblings and friends. It’s a place she was eager to share with Daniel when he moved to the U.S., and it has since become one of their favorite spots to visit together.
Kabrewing is one of our favorite activities to do together. Kabrewing is a play on kayaking and beer and is a popular Ohio activity. Pack some food and drinks and tube (our recommendation), raft, canoe, or kayak 7-miles down the Mohican River. Don't forget your swimsuits and sunscreen!
