Where do I start with this guy. Oh, I know. The very beginning. This man has been in my life as far back as I can remember. We have been through the thick and thin. From countless sleepovers throughout our childhood to becoming each other Best Men. He’s always had my best interest at heart, especially at some of the lowest points in my life. He is the type of person to set his own needs aside to take care of his family and loved ones. I am honored to have him stand by my side on the most important day of mine and Sherin’s life. Keep an eye out for Smijai on the dance floor because his hips don’t lie lol.

My little sister! My constant in my life and my partner in crime. There is no one else in this world that can relate to me about my obsession with all things India and jam out to Indian songs for hours. Even though Shalini is six years younger than me, she’s always been wise and mature way beyond her age. She will go to any extent to be there for the people she loves! You can count on her to be the most truthful and genuine friend in your life.

How or where do I even start with this MOFO?! Nevin Saju has to be one of the funniest guys I know. He knows exactly what to say to either piss me off or make me roll on the floor trying not to break my ribs from laughter. He will say the most outlandish and immature things because he is a man-child lol. And that’s one of the many things I love about him. As crazy as he is, he’s one of the strongest people I know-both mentally and physically. This dude is also my personal trainer and workout coach. I love that he is very self-aware of who he is and is always true to himself since that’s so rare to find these days. There aren’t enough words to express how much he means to me. That’s why I made him a Best Man. Forever SajuStrong!

My pharmacy school bestie and roomie! She’s one of the main reasons why I survived these past 4 years in school. Lydia is there for you when you need her the most and has seen me at some of my worst moments. Homegirl is also not shy at giving you a harsh realitycheck when you need it the most. She’s always the life of the party and you will find her busting her famous moves on the dance floor!

let me introduce y’all to the “Mcboy” lol. Talk about having a tender heart. Jenin is a loving, caring and honest guy. I remember like it was yesterday when he moved to Texas from India. Mainly because I got through 9th grade by copying off of Jenin lol. Just like Goku from DBZ, Jenin always strives to get the best out of everyone around him whether it be friends or foes. How can you not love someone like that? I’m thankful to have this guy by my side on my wedding day. “Like I said, we hungry”.

My other pharmacy school bestie and roomie! Ingrid is the kindest soul you will meet. Her life could be crumbling down, and you can still find her with an ear-to-ear smile. You could make fun of her and her infamous quirks all you want; she will still sit there laughing like there is no care in the world. You can also find her on the dance floor bobbing her head to the music and busting her Zumba moves.

Tobin Saju is the definition of the word Chaos lol. As loving as he is, he’s known in our family to stir the pot every so often just so he could have some fun. He will always keep the mood interesting to say the least. He loves our family like no other and will be there in a heartbeat if one of us needs him. From his crazy college days to fatherhood, the evolution of this man’s life has taught me so many valuable lifelong lessons. And I was lucky enough to be with him every step of the way. You will always be my cousin-brother lol.

I love that she’s always down to have fun and drags my antisocial-self out to places with her!

Justin aka “Miracle Grow” lol, is the nicest man you’ll ever meet and he’s always wearing a smile on his face. One of my favorite things about him is that he is so positive even when life finds a way to get you down. Yet, you will still see him with that same smile on his face! He is always there to give you advice and help you see things in a different light. I love that we grew up together (well, I grew, and he stayed the same LOL) and share the same memories together that we can share with our next generation. I am heartbroken that he won’t be able to attend our wedding because he is about to be a father!! Can’t wait to meet baby Omar!! (not the real name lol)

My PSS sister! From meeting her at her 21st birthday party (and ruining it lol) many many years ago, she’s been a constant in my life. There is no one else that would join in with all my rants about our guy friends like she would. She’s the friend that I would grow old with and sit there in a nursing home talking smack about people lol Sadly, she won’t be there partying it up our usual style at the wedding because she is cooking our first little PSS baby!!!

She has treated me like her sister from the very beginning and made it a point to always let me know that she’s there for me just like she’s there for her baby brother. But don’t let his pretty looks fool you, he is a feisty one.

Niya or Niyakutty is the younger sister that Nimmy wouldn’t shut up about when we first met lol I love that she treated me as family since day 1 and always reached out and included me in everything that the family did. She is one of the main reasons why I felt so close to the family from the get-go. She’s always willing to help others in any way she can and is passionate about everything she does! You will find her at the wedding taking charge and putting everyone in check!

Jerrin Alex is the very first friend I made in my life. Believe it or not, I still remember meeting him when I was 3 years old. Growing up, both of our families were inseparable and had countless sleepovers and memories together. And obviously, this has gotten both of us into a fair share of trouble together lol. He is the one guy you don’t want to mess with because he will defend his family and friends with all it takes. I am so happy that we officially get to be family!

This is the famous girl that we keep talking about whose 13th birthday party that we met at lol I guess you can say she’s the reason why we met? She is so talented and there is nothing this girl can’t do. Growing up, we were the duo at family gatherings taking mirror selfies and acting weird- I love all our memories and cringeworthy pictures!!! Akku is the loudest and most “litty” yet shy and socially awkward person you will ever meet. I haven’t quite figured out the mix either, but I love it!

He is the baby of our family! Since he was so much younger than all of us, he often didn’t get the opportunity to talk about a lot things with the older cousins. This made him a really good listener. Justin is one of the most trustworthy people I know and there is no one else that I can speak so freely without knowing they won’t pass judgment. Everyone needs a Justin or as I like to call him “Booger” in their life. He’s also the hairiest man I know lol.

I met Nidhin when I was 8 years old, but we really started to get close from the age of 15. Nidhin and I were inseparable throughout high school. To say the least, we were the cool kids on the block during our high school days. From tearing it up at so many house parties, working at FunAsia and going to all of his dance shows, Nidhin and I knew how to make fun happen anywhere we went. He will be my ICE game partner always and forever.

She’s the one person in my life that I know I can count on being there for me no matter what. I’m so grateful for our years of friendship and that we get to experience different stages of life together!
