Our dress code with be semi-formal. The ceremony will be outside and the reception will be indoors. Due to possible cooler temperatures of the fall season, we ask that you be prepared and have a jacket or sweater just in case it is cooler outside for the ceremony. *We ask the female wedding guests to not wear a burnt orange velvet dress due to our bridal party wearing that color/material, and us wanting them to stand out!
Yes! There is plenty of parking on the property! We will do our best to make sure there are plenty of signs to guide you :) There will also be a valet option for those who don’t feel comfortable walking far. There will be parking guides there to help if you do need valet service.
Yes! In the Location section of this website there are some hotels listed that are nearby. We have room block set at Courtyard-Albion (link in the location section of website). I do recommend checking around sooner than later if you are not wanting to travel far after the wedding. Homer, MI is a small town, so there are not a ton of options that are very close to the venue. Don’t forget to check AirBnB and VRBO as well :)
We do plan to have an open bar at the wedding with a select amount of alcohol! Cash is not required, but we’re sure our bartender would appreciate any tips :)
Of course! Your kids are welcome to join in as long as they are included on the invitation. Or if you’d prefer to get a babysitter, that’s fine as well! Just make sure to RSVP with amount of family members attending so we can plan accordingly for food and seating. If your kids are not included on the final invitation, and you want to know if you can bring them, please message Ashley or Brad.
We will put an option for a plus one on your invitation, please make sure to fill it out and RSVP in time so we have enough food and chairs for everyone. If you have any questions about your plus one attending, feel free to message Brad or I, or one of our immediate family members.
At this time, we do not plan to have a virtual option for the wedding. But we will plan to post photos and video on social media following the big day. If you have any concerns with this, feel free to message Brad or I.
Yes! If you do have a wheelchair or walker, we recommend using the valet parking option to make things easier for you due to the parking area being a large grassy space. Other than the grassy parking area, there are paths around the venue to make getting around easy and accessible.
Of course! We plan to have light snacks available during the cocktail area, and will have dinner during the reception, and desserts to follow!
