Vijay: We met during one of the “mathiest” classes at the University of Pennsylvania — optimisation. Between all the equations and chaos, I noticed her. I walked her home, but she lost my contact 🥲 Smruti: I never imagined that class would lead me to the love of a thousand lives. We drifted apart, but little did I know — he was still searching for me. Vijay: And one day, I found a way to reach out. Just a simple message: “Hi, Vijay here.” That was all it took. Smruti: After that, the texts never stopped. We went from studying together, sneaking in long walks between classes, to trying new foods and cooking up storms in the kitchen. It felt so easy, so right. Vijay: Then came the ‘22 summer in New York — our favorite chapter. We explored the city on foot, averaging 30,000 steps a day, laughing, eating, and just soaking in life. Smruti: That’s when it all truly clicked. The city, the energy, the feeling of home — it was all in him. Both: And start of 2025, somewhere up in the clouds in a hot air balloon, Vijay asked the most magical question — and we said yes to forever. 💍
