Question

Will the Wedding be Indoors or Outdoors?

Answer

Both! As long as the weather permits (gotta love Ohio), we will be having our ceremony outdoors and our cocktail party/reception will be indoors! Please note, it's about a quarter of a mile walk between the two sites and there IS a hill. It's not too bad, we've done it a few times ourselves but it is something to take into account. We will be having our lovely golf cart drivers on site making frequent trips if you don't feel like hoofing it! There will be signage along the way to guide you.

What's the Dress Code?

Answer

Short answer: Semi-Formal/Dress Casual. Long answer: We want to keep our wedding accessible and inclusive to all of our family and friends. This is both an outdoor and an indoor event, opt for outfits and accessories that are comfortable and practical. Semi-formal attire allows people to incorporate their own personal style into their ensemble because it’s slightly more relaxed. The internet suggests: linens and cottons are an appropriate choice in a dressier silhouette (think a dress, skirt, or trousers for women). A sports coat and trousers is a great choice here for men, with a neck-tie being optional. Khakis and button down shirts would be fine as well. A fully sequined/beaded dress or tuxedo would be overkill at a dress casual event.

Is There a Hotel Block?

Answer

Yes- please see the "travel" tab above, we have blocks in four local hotels. We will have goodie bags ready for you upon your arrival!

What's the Weather in Ohio Like?

Answer

Honestly? It differs wildly from day to day. *Hopefully* the weather will be milder, that's why we chose early October for our date! Average temperatures around this time of the year can be anywhere from 50 to 80 degrees.

Can I Take Pictures?

Answer

We will be having a "Unplugged Ceremony"- during the ceremony itself, we ask that all guests keep their phones safely tucked away. We will have two photographers on site capturing ALL the moments, and we would hate for them to have their shot blocked by a phone. Trust us, there will be plenty of photos and you will be able to see them along with us! After the ceremony, feel free to take any pictures you would like- we'd actually encourage it! Please share them with us- either on social media using the #smoresantanas, send them to us via text, or email them to us using smoresantanas@gmail.com.

Can I Bring My Children? A Plus One?

Answer

As for the children- YES! We love all the kids in our lives and all are more than welcome. We will have a specially designated kid-area where we'll have games and activities set up for them as well as coloring pages at the tables. As for the plus ones- we've alotted every guest a plus one to ensure everyone feels comfortable. Please make sure that you account for them when you RSVP so that we can have an accurate headcount for our big day.

What Refreshments Will be Provided?

Answer

We will not be having an open bar, however we do have a bar that will be open from the beginning of cocktail hour until 10pm serving a small selection of beer, ciders, and wines. The bar will also be providing a selection of sodas, and there will also be water, tea, and lemonade. Out of respect for our venue and vendors, there is a STRICT no tailgating policy and guests are not to bring in any outside drinks.

What Food Will be Provided?

Answer

During our cocktail hour, we will be having a Trail Mix Bar for pre-dinner snacks. During our reception, we will be having a Full Service Buffet including the following: Garden Salad (ranch or italian dressing), White Rolls (butter and honey butter), Chicken Breast with Champagne Cream Sauce OR Beef Au Jus, Red Stuffed Potatoes with Cheese, Bacon, and Chives, and Green Beans. For dessert, you will have a choice between a Coconut Poke Cake and Chocolate Peanut Butter (we LOVE these flavors and we can confirm that they are delicious!) If you have any specific dietary concerns or restrictions or have a question, please reach out to us! Out of respect for our venders and concern for cross-contamination, we ask that you please DO NOT bring in any outside food or snacks- please contact us if you have any questions!

How do I RSVP?

Answer

When you receive your wedding invitation by mail it will have a QR code on it to direct you to our "RSVP" page, or you can go to the "RSVP" tab right on this website to enter it! We'll see it as soon as you confirm or deny the invite. Thank you in advance :)

Is the Venue Handicap Accessible?

Answer

YES- we want our wedding to be accessible and inclusive to all. The reception is wheelchair accessible. If you have any specific concerns, please reach out to Megan and Drew ASAP so that we can ensure everyone feels confident and comfortable during our big day.

Question

Where are the Gifts on Your Registry Page?

Answer

No gifts needed! We've been living together for nearly two years, so we pretty much have everything we'd need for our home and for ourselves. Instead, we've opted for "experience funds". If you feel that there is a gift that we absolutely need in our lives, then that is okay as well! We'll have a spot reserved for them at our card table. If you do not feel comfortable gifting towards one of our funds, we completely understand and more traditional methods are completely fine, too.
