FAQs

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Our wedding reception has extremely limited space. We have been warned that if we exceed our guest limit, the fire marshal will remove our entire party. Therefore, we can not have any extra attendees at the ceremony or immediate reception. However, dates and friends are more than welcome to join you in Tampa for your trip and at our after party if you reserve them a space there.

Question

Does the park have a Pokemon Go gym?

Answer

Stop it.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

8 am. Please help decorate. If you’re unable to arrive that early, we suggest 10:30-10:45 am because parking is super limited.

Question

What time should I arrive at the after party?

Answer

Unlike the ceremony, the after party doesn’t start until 8 pm and we will not have access to the space until that time. Please arrive at your convenience at 8 pm or anytime thereafter.

Question

Y’all keep telling us to arrive early, but what? I’m just supposed to stand around and wait for the ceremony to start?

Answer

Nope! If you have 30 or more minutes before the ceremony, we recommend going for a stroll around the park. If you don’t have enough time for the 1/5 mile boardwalk trail, stroll through the botanical garden area or check out the greenhouse. Both are right next to the rose garden and pergola where the ceremony will be held.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please let us know of any allergies or dietary restrictions. While we cannot promise you will be able to eat everything, we will do our best to accommodate you and provide options that you can partake in. If you know that food is particularly challenging or you have very picky eaters in your party, please feel free to bring a lunch.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

A midnight initiation ritual into a secret society that you're not invited to. For a mere donation of $12,000, you can gain access. Before the midnight ritual, there will also be a karaoke after party. Attending this is much cheaper with a required donation of a mere $10/person to gain access. Please see the event page for more details.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

On a leash. Please be responsible kid owners and scoop their poop.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have not secured a hotel block as many of our guests have shared their desire to reserve Airbnbs or VRBOs for their family. However, if you do need to book a hotel room, we recommend the hotels on E Fletcher Ave by I-75. There are several hotels here and the area is generally nice. We live close by. It’s about 15 minutes from this area to the park. There are other hotels closer to the park. However, we are not as familiar with the area and can not say anything about it. We highly recommend booking a few months in advanced as this is Spring Break Season.
