August 26, 2023 As we expected, accommodations have been filling up quickly in the Santa Ynez Valley for our wedding weekend. If you are able to join us in September and you haven't already made a reservation, please make one sooner rather than later. We're nudging folks to stay more in the Buellton/Solvang/Santa Ynez area. *****Please avoid staying in Lompoc***** Shuttle Services will be at 1p.m. from the four pickup locations below. *Note, shuttles are black and white school buses. Solvang Park: 1630 Mission Dr, Solvang, CA 93463 Sideways Inn: 114 E Hwy 246, Buellton, CA 93427 Santa Ynez Valley Historical Museum: 3596 Sagunto St, Santa Ynez, CA 93460 Santa Ynez Valley Marriott: 555 McMurray Rd, Buellton, CA 93427 If you have any questions, concerns or emergencies day-of, please contact our wedding planner, Cynthia at (805) 717-4702 *****Please note that shuttle service to the wedding venue will be at 1pm. Some of you may just be arriving Saturday and so may not have time to check in to your lodging before you need to be on the shuttle. When you are looking for a place to stay, most of the small towns in the Santa Ynez Valley will work. Alternatively, you might consider staying in Santa Barbara/Goleta where there are many nice places to choose from--your travel to the shuttle stop will just be longer. Currently, the wedding bloc at Sideways Inn is *full*. You can still book there, we believe, but you will no longer be able to benefit from the reduced rate. If you'd like to stay at Sideways, we encourage you to *call* to make a reservation (805-691-8086); mention the "Soares-Shapero" wedding bloc--even though you won't receive a discount, you will be grouped with the other wedding guests.
