We first met at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah as coworkers on a surgical unit. We were friends for quite some time before we both showed any real interest (although Geoff did ask a friend about my relationship status on the first day he saw me). It wasn't until about a year later that we spent time together outside of work when we knew it was meant to be. Soon, we started dating and our relationship became official right before Christmas of 2018. Since then, we've continued to grow in our love and our respect for one another, and we are now living together in Reno, Nevada for Geoff's medical school. We now want to cement our relationship and start building a future together as husband and wife.♡
We truly wanted to have all our family and friends at our wedding but because of COVID, we thought it might be better to keep the ceremony super intimate. Who knows when all the restrictions will be lifted and we don't want to keep prolonging our engagement. We are also very busy with work and school so we don't have too much time to plan a big wedding. We both think that a small ceremony in a beautiful location matches our personalities a lot better anyway. We still really want to celebrate our marriage with everyone soon. We wouldn't be where we are now without all our friends and family. We love you all and hope to be able to celebrate with you soon!
We want to make sure that the COVID situation is much improved when we celebrate with everyone. We also have to plan a date when our school and work schedules will allow us to travel, and unfortunately, our schools don't provide us with a timetable ahead of time. We are planning on holding two separate gatherings for friends and family (one in New Jersey and one in Utah). We will contact everyone individually when we decide on dates and locations. Thank you all so much for supporting us over the years and helping us become the people we are today. We hope everyone understands why we are choosing to do things this way.♡
