Do I have to RSVP online or can I just text/call you that I'm coming?

Answer

Please (pretty please) RSVP online so that we remember to include you on the guest list! It is also very important that you RSVP by the deadline, or you may find yourself sitting with people you may not know.

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

The wedding is semi-formal or cocktail attire.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We are PRAYING for sun on our big day so that the wedding ceremony can be outdoor on the grass lawn. The reception will be indoors in an air conditioned ballroom. Please plan accordingly when picking your attire.

What time should we arrive to the venue?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 5:30pm. We recommend you aim to arrive around 5pm, as traffic in Newport can cause delays.

What is the easiest way to get to and from the venue?

Answer

Newport is small, but not small enough to walk everywhere. The easiest way to the venue is to drive. If that is not feasible, Newport does have rideshare options (Ubers and Lyft), however they may be in short supply during the busy summer months.

Is there parking available at the venue?

Answer

Yes! The parking lot is very large and has previously accommodated over 150 cars!

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Answer

Due to the popularity of Newport in the summer, room blocks are difficult to obtain. We do however have room blocks at the Sonesta Select and Homewood Suites in Middletown (1 town over). Please mention our names when booking your room over the phone. Additionally you can follow the link beneath the travel tab and insert the password provided.

Do I have to stay at the Sonesta Select or Homewood Suites?

Answer

No! There are many other options for your stay in Newport. Multiple hotels are listed under the travel tab. Be aware that some hotels require a 2-night minimum. Additionally, many Airbnb or VRBO options are available!

If I'm coming from out of state, which airport should I fly to?

Answer

Providence (T. F. Green International Airport) is the closest airport to our venue. Boston (Logan International Airport) is approximately 1.5 hours away. Hartford (Bradley International Airport) is approximately 2 hours away. All of these options will require a car rental to get to Newport.

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

While children are included on your invitation, we hope you use this occasion as an enjoyable night out for yourself. Children less than 13 years old will receive a kids meal of chicken fingers and french fries.

Will there be an after party?

Answer

Following the reception, we invite guests to travel downtown to continue the celebration. We plan to begin our post-wedding celebration at Smugglers Waterfront Bar on Thames Street.
