Dennis and I meet online and finally the day after my 25th birthday I decided to meet him. We met at Hard Rock Cafe and immediately and very surprisingly had one of the best conversations ever. I had already been smitten by Dennis because of two saftey measures he insisted. #1. Share your location with someone your close with. #2. He sent me a photo of his license plate and identification. He did that for my saftey and my comfortability and it really moved me. We talked for hours and decided to build a friendship. We both promised to be someone the other can talk to, and be an inspiration for each other in a world full of doubts and societal views. And we kept that promise. We grew with eachother on race, politics, culture and family. Months went by and I asked myself and Dennis why arent we together... we both simply looked at eachother and started laughing. Dennis said well Im old and white. I said yes you are pretty old. Then I sat back and looked him in the face and said... Dennis I dont think that bothers me one bit. My mother was the last test. She is a very honest person and I’ve always respected her honesty. Dennis was so nervous. He told me a million times, “Im just going to be honest with her and hope she knows I truly care for you and Ashton”. It was one of the deepest conversations and truly paid off. Without me saying anything she knew exactly why I wanted to be with Dennis. We were happy and no matter what the world around us is doing, we do our own thang and proud of it. Our values do not compose of traditional jurisdiction of love, but we value trust, and genuine love. Family is most important to us, and making sure we help not only ourselves but others around us. This is us! #itsasmiththang Welcome to the beginning! 🥰Dennis and Dominique
