Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our ceremony will take place outside in a state park about 0.1 miles from the parking lot. Slacks or khakis with a button down (ties and jackets optional) and dresses and jumpsuits would be good options for attire. Tall stilettos would be difficult to walk in at the ceremony site, low heels would work. Don’t forget a jacket if it looks to be a colder day!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The parking lot at Castlewood Canyon has plenty of spots, but it is a Colorado state park on a weekend, so we would recommend carpooling if possible. There is ample parking at The Grange.

How do I get to the ceremony site?

Answer

Take the main entrance to Castlewood Canyon State Park off of Highway 83, five miles south of Franktown. Once through the main entrance, follow the road to Canyon Point parking lot. You will then see the Lake Gulch Trailhead and the restrooms. Follow the trail 0.1 miles to the Pikes Peak Amphitheater on your lefthand side. There will be a sign directing you off the trail to the amphitheater.

Do I need to pay to enter Castlewood Canyon State Park?

Just let the attendant know that you are entering the park for the Smith wedding, and we will take care of the rest!
