Golden Arrow Lakeside Resort

The Golden Arrow is one of our favorite hotels in Lake Placid. It is locally owned, centrally located, and sits right on Mirror Lake. This will be our shuttle pick-up and drop-off spot on wedding day. If you call in, please mention Smith-Shenk wedding room block.

We will have a shuttle bringing guests to/from the Lake Placid Lodge for the wedding. Once the final shuttle schedule is complete, we will post it here, as well as in the bathrooms at the Lodge. If you are not staying at the Golden Arrow, please note that it IS walking distance from most hotels in town.

The Crowne Plaza is located in town, up on a hill next to the Olympic Center and close to the Golden Arrow.

We have several rooms reserved at the Lake Placid Lodge. This is where our ceremony, reception, after party and brunch will all take place. Please contact us directly before you try to book any rooms at the Lodge. If we have already talked to you about a room at the lodge, please feel free to call them and "claim" your room!

Mirror Lake Inn

We LOVE this place. It is a locally owned gem. It's pricier than the other hotels in town, but it is definitely worth it. We stayed here recently and booked the "run of the house" (lowest) rate and got an awesome room.

Whiteface Lodge - Lake Placid, NY

This is a super family friendly resort just down the road from the Lake Placid Lodge. All rooms are suite-style and the property has a huge pool, ice cream parlor, bowling alley, and more.

High Peaks Resort

High Peaks (formerly a Hilton) is right across the street from Top of the Park, where the welcome party is located. It's in a great location in town and has a ton of rooms - if you're late the party on booking, definitely check here.
