Both the ceremony and the reception will be at the Paine Art Center and Gardens in Oshkosh, WI. The ceremony will be held outside in the gardens and the reception will be inside the conservatory/carriage house. Guests will have open access to the gardens for the duration of the event and tours of the historic mansion will be available to guests during the social hour. Please be aware that no food or drink can enter the mansion and smoking of any kind is strictly prohibited everywhere on property. Guests who wish to smoke must exit the gate to do so. (See below for information regarding attire, parking, weather, and more.)
The dress code for our wedding ranges from dressy casual and semi-formal attire to cocktail attire. For ladies, this can include dresses, jumpsuits, or dressy blouses with either pants or a skirt. For gentlemen, this can include suits & ties, sports coats, or button down shirts with slacks. Other considerations: There will be grass, gravel, and uneven pavement thoughout the property. We recommend wearing shoes that are sturdy and comfortable so you can walk and dance safely. To prepare for being outdoors and flucuating temperatures, we recommend wearing sunscreen as well as bringing an additional layer of clothing.
This time of year, we can typically expect temperatures to be in the mid 70's during the day with a drop to the mid 60's in the evening. However, the midwest is unpredictable so please continue to check the weather forecast leading up to the event and keep your outfits flexible with layers. Sunscreen is also advisable as you may be out in the sun during the ceremony. In the case of rain, umbrellas will be provided at the venue.
We recommend that you arrive at least 15-30 minutes before the start of the ceremony to ensure that everyone is seated on-time and that we can get the party started as scheduled
There are several hotels in the Oshkosh area. Please refer to the "travel & stay" page to view a list of hotels and for more detailed information. Keep in mind, not only is this a holiday weekend but there is also the possibility for a home Packer game. This may cause hotel rooms to book up quickly and well in advance. Therefore, we encourage guests to make their reservations ASAP.
Parking at the venue will be limited. For your convenience, please consider carpooling with other guests or utilizing ride-sharing services (Uber, Lyft, Taxis, etc.). Additional parking can be located down the street at 1313 Elmwood Ave where vehicles can be left overnight.
Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. Since there is limited space and seating at the venue, we will only able to accommodate those guests listed on the invitation who have provided an RSVP.
The RSVP deadline is August 1st 2021. Once invitations have been sent out, you can RSVP on our website using the "RSVP" tab above or by mailing back the RSVP card included with your invitation.
