It all started with a good ol' swipe right and maybe some tacos. During Evan's Christmas block leave and while Jessica was living in Atlanta, the two met up at what would be anyone's way to their heart, Mexican food. Not many would say yes to a second date after Evan limped his way down the street to dinner. But there was something special about each other that Jessica could see past a bad back and a gimpy leg.  Shortly after the two met, Evan laid out the unknown of his army career and the potential to be stationed anywhere in the world. When Evan got notice about his orders, Jessica had a feeling it would be JBLM, even though that was the last place he wanted to go. Sure enough it was JBLM in Washington state where Jessica grew up. After a couple of years switching places and doing long distance later - Evan popped the question for the only girl he’d buy a ring for instead of a new set of golf clubs. Since then Jessica moved cross-country to finally be together, as well as added our happy go-lucky aussiedoodle, Hallie to the fam. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter as husband and wife!
