How do I RSVP?
Answer
You may send back the response card included with your invitation or RSVP on our website using the invitation QR code or at https://www.zola.com/wedding/smithottswedding/rsvp. Please RSVP by August 27th and include all members of your party.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
Please arrive at the venue by 3:30pm to be seated for the ceremony beginning at 4pm.

Are kids welcome?
Answer
This is a family-friendly celebration! You are welcome to make it a date night too!

Is there a dress code?
Answer
Smart casual. We want you to be comfortable! Something you would wear out to a nice dinner, perhaps button downs/polos/collared shirts and khakis/chinos for the gentlemen and sundresses, skirts, or dressy pants and a nice top for the ladies. We recommend bringing a jacket for the evening and avoiding stilettos that may get stuck in the lawn!

What if it rains?
Answer
The ceremony will be in a grassy garden area, but we can move it into the covered barn/reception area, if necessary, due to inclement weather.

What if it's unseasonably warm?
Answer
There are plenty of shade options at the venue itself, though ceremony seating might be exposed. The large barn doors can be opened for ventilation but there is no air conditioning. Cold water and other drinks will be well supplied before, during, and after the ceremony.

Is Lavender Owl Farm ADA accessible?
Answer
Most paths at the venue are gravel or grass. The barn has new cement flooring and there is a paved patio area. The space is generally flat with no stairs. ADA parking is available upon request.

What is the restroom situation?
Answer
There are two restrooms inside the barn and one port-a-potty near the grass parking lot.

Where should I sit?

You may sit wherever you would like for both the ceremony and reception, no sides or seating charts!

When do we eat?
Answer
We’ll have appetizers following the ceremony to tide you over until dinner. The buffet will open around 6:00 PM—come hungry!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?
Answer
Yes, please let us know on your RSVP if you have any dietary restrictions or food allergies by August 27th so that we can coordinate with the caterer.

Will you be serving alcohol?
Answer
Yes! We’ll be serving a selection of beer and wine, along with coffee, tea, sodas, and lemonade. Please note that the venue does not allow outside open-container alcoholic beverages.

Can I take photos?
Answer
Absolutely! Your photos are welcome and appreciated, please share them with us! We just ask that you’re mindful of our photographer and avoid blocking her view, especially during the ceremony.
