Venue Name: Greenock Manor Address: 249 Caroline St, Orange, VA 22960 Orange is a small town located about halfway between Fredericksburg and Charlottesville, and is about 40 minutes from each. The drive is a little less than 1.5 hours from Richmond and a little less than 2 hours from DC. Drivers heading from Northern Virginia/DC will need to either drive down I-95 and go west from Fredericksburg or take I-66 and then Route 15 to the southwest. Drivers heading from Richmond/Hampton Roads should go up I-64 and then take Route 15 to the north. The venue itself is located near the intersection of Route 20 and Route 15 where there is an Exxon gas station. The entrance to the venue is on a partially-hidden driveway along Route 15 right next to the intersection with a white sign that says "Greenock Weddings". The entrance is easy to miss, so make sure to drive slow near the intersection. For guests who are flying, the closest airport will likely be Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport (CHO), but it may be easier to fly into Richmond International Airport (RIC).
There is a Comfort Inn very close to the venue in Orange. Several rooms are reserved at a cheaper price here ahead of time. There are also other options located on the way to Charlottesville or Culpepper, which are both around 40 minutes away.
The venue lot contains around ~55 parking spaces, including a handicap space and a ramp to enter the house. While there should be enough parking, the lot can be a little tight, especially for larger vehicles. The driveway is also a bit narrow. If possible, we recommend car-pooling to reduce the number of drivers and vehicles in the lot, especially for guests staying nearby in town.
Yes, there are no restrictions for children/toddlers/infants.
The venue requires an additional fee and supervision of any pets, so we kindly request that pets be left at home.
If possible, please RSVP as early as possible and at least 2 weeks in advance of the wedding date so that we have an accurate tally of the total number of guests.
While your presence at our wedding events is more than enough, those who are interested in contributing to our future are welcome to give to our home down payment fund, which can be found on the "Registry" tab of this website.
All indoor, tent, balcony, dance floor areas and gardens are strictly non-smoking. We have also been asked not to let guests smoke in the parking lot near vehicles. Please let us know ahead of time if you would like to smoke/vape during the reception and we can designate a dedicated smoking area during the event.
Alcoholic drinks will be provided after the ceremony to guests 21 and older and will be served by a licensed bartender. Cocktails will be available during Cocktail Hour between the end of the ceremony and dinner, while beer/wine/cider/seltzer will be available all night. Spirits/Liquor will not be available except during cocktail hour in designated drinks (per venue policy). Please do not bring your own alcohol to the venue and drink responsibly. Do not drive if it is not safe to do so. While we are not providing official transportation to the venue, we will coordinate rides or Uber/Lyft for guests staying nearby.
We ask that all electronics be put away and silenced during the ceremony. Our photographer will handle taking all the photos. Electronics and cameras are totally welcome during the reception.
