We are so happy you want to make this a family weekend. Steamboat is an awesome town for family time. Please refer to the "Things To Do" page for information related to activities and childcare.
Please refer to the "Travel" page for accomodations.
Steamboat Springs sits at about 7,000 feet above sea level, so the air is thinner and drier than many are used to. Be sure to stay hydrated, take it easy when you arrive, and enjoy the mountain air! In mid-September, the weather is typically beautiful and mild, with daytime temperatures in the 60s–70s and cooler evenings. Layers are highly recommended. As a ranching and mountain community, the area can have seasonal allergens such as grasses, hay, and sagebrush. If you’re sensitive, you may want to bring allergy medication. Overall, it’s a comfortable and beautiful time of year in Steamboat, and we can’t wait to share it with you!
Any changes or last-minute notes will be posted on our homepage, so please check as the date approcahes.
