Head over to Main Street in Cambria to eat and do some shopping! You can't go wrong with any spot, but here are a few of our favorites: Cambria Coffee Roasting Company- If you're in need of a caffeine boost, we love this spot. We're both in agreement that this is the BEST mocha we've ever had. Take your coffee up to the balcony for beautiful views of the village and nature. Linn's Easy as Pie Shop- Linn's is an institution in Cambria. An absolute gem. They are locally famous for their chicken pot pie and olallieberry pie (a hybrid berry grown by Linn's farm, genetically about 2/3 blackberry and 1/3 raspberry). Sounds like the perfect lunch and dessert! Artifacts Gallery- An art gallery with something for everyone! They have a huge variety of art with different styles, mediums, and subject matters. Even if you're not in the market to buy a piece, this is a great place to window shop.
This gorgeous coastline beach is just a 5 minute drive from the hotel. Search for sea life by exploring the tide pools, walk along the brown sand beach, or take a stroll on the one-mile boardwalk. If you find yourself hungry after a morning at the beach, check out Moonstone Beach Bar and Grill for lunch.
Less than a 30 minute drive from Cambria, Morro Bay is a must! Morro Rock- This historic state landmark is beautiful and distinctive. Sitting between the edge of the Pacific Ocean and the mouth of the harbor, you can't miss it. Morro Bay Kayak Shack- If you're looking for some adventure, rent a kayak. This is your best bet to see the sea life (otters and sea lions!!) the central coast has to offer. Giovanni's- Sit outside, take in beautiful views, eat the best fish and chips. Nothing better. Carousel Taffy- Literally take the chance to be a kid in a candy store. If you like salt water taffy, you'll love it here. 70 flavors of taffy!!
Another gorgeous beach town for you to explore. Nested about halfway between Cambria and Morro Bay, it's close by and a perfect way to spend a few hours. While we don't have many recommendations for this town, it would be a crime not to mention one: Sea Shanty- This is a great place for lunch. Food is good, but you've GOT to get dessert. Huge slices of ice cream pie. Enough said.
Only a 15 minute drive away from the lodge and truly a one-of-a-kind experience. Tour this estate to see art, history, gardens, and - if you're lucky - some wild animals like zebras or peacocks.
Drive through the rolling hills of Paso Robles and taste wine at one (or more) of the vineyards and wineries in the area.
