In early 2022, Amanda and Erica were both single and dating for marriage, so of course they turned to Tinder. They matched with each other and exchanged a few messages but soon realized that single summer was upon them, so they strayed from the apps. While enjoying the summer, they caught sight of each other at a party in Seattle. Though the timing wasn't right at that moment, an undeniable spark was ignited between them. As the summer came to an end, both found their way to the dating app Hinge, where Erica saw Amanda yet again. Making sure not to miss her chance, she matched and messaged Amanda who enthusiastically accepted. Soon after, they had their first date on September 16th, 2022 at Fremont Brewing, and the rest is history.

Erica was able to trick Amanda just enough to have her arrive at our friend Catie's rooftop that overlooks downtown Seattle where her friends had set up the perfect proposal spot. The proposal was followed by a pride month kick off party as they danced into the night. Amanda, not to be outdone, knew there was no other place to propose to Erica than at her family float house on Lake Coeur D'Alene. After a long drive over, Amanda teamed up with Lisa, Erica's mom, to help set up the proposal on the front dock. It was everything Erica had hoped for since she was young.
