Proposal at Red Rocks: Our Engagement Story - Denver, Colorado, July 15, 2023
It was the middle of the pandemic when everything felt uncertain, but something beautiful came out of it. We found each other on Tinder and quickly connected. After a couple of weeks of messaging and late-night conversations, we decided it was time to meet in person. On August 24, 2020, we had our first date at Kawai Sushi. The night was perfect—filled with laughter, great food, and the excitement of finally seeing each other face-to-face. After dinner, we walked through the streets, soaking in the moment, until we found ourselves in front of Hooligans. That’s where we shared our first kiss—one of those moments that felt like time stopped for just the two of us. The world outside might have been chaotic, yet we were certain of the peace, safety and love we brought each other.
During a work trip to Denver, Tyler came to visit, and we decided to turn the trip into something special. We extended our stay, booking the cutest tiny Airbnb on the outskirts of town. Our days were spent riding scooters around Denver, exploring museums, and indulging in new foods together, making the most of every moment. One day, we both knew we wanted to experience the beauty of Red Rocks. As we hiked through the natural beauty, Tyler led us to the most perfect spot at the top of the rocks. It felt like we were on top of the world, just the two of us, surrounded by love. That’s when he proposed. Overwhelmed with joy, we went to a patio bar to celebrate. The love between us must have been obvious, because a woman approached and asked if we had just gotten engaged. To our surprise, she quietly bought us a bottle of champagne, making the moment even more unforgettable. PS if you zoom in on the photo you can see Tyler proposing
