Are kids welcomed?
Answer
While we adore the children in your life, we cannot accommodate them. The venue backs up to the Cloudland Canyon State Park and is not kid friendly. Only children in the immediate family will be present.

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?
Answer
Please arrive 15-20 minutes early as you will need to park in one area and be shuttled up to the venue.

Oakleaf Cottage’s address is 6979 Highway 136, Trenton GA. It’s about 25 minutes from downtown Chattanooga, and about 2 hours' drive from Atlanta, Nashville, Knoxville or Birmingham. As you approach Lookout Mountain via 136, you will pass a neighborhood called Canyon Park Estates. Oakleaf's sign is on the left side of the highway, before you round the bend to go up the mountain. Parking is to the left of the gates as you enter the driveway. DO NOT pass through the gates - this is for shuttle traffic only, as there is no parking available around the venue area. Please park, being mindful to leave room for others, and wait for our shuttle at the waiting area near the gate. As our driveway is also steep and one way, pedestrian traffic is not permitted on the driveway between the parking area and the venue. Please wait for a shuttle.

Sunday, March 5, 2023. This is the deadline for both rehearsal dinner and wedding ceremony and reception.

Rehearsal Dinner - Dressy Casual Ceremony and Reception - Business Casual with sensible shoes for an outdoor wedding (mulch and gravel).

Do you have any hotel recommendations?
Answer
Yes, we have a few rooms blocked at the Read House in downtown Chattanooga. It’s an old hotel with a lot of history that has recently been remodeled. The location is great with a Starbucks located inside the hotel and several restaurants and shops within walking distance. Please check out our Travel Page for an online booking link. If you would prefer to stay elsewhere, there are several hotels downtown and off of the Browns Ferry Road Exit/Lookout Mtn. that are close to attractions downtown and close to the venue. We do NOT recommend staying at Hamilton Place Mall area. The amount of traffic you’d hit on a Sunday would be wild. Please contact the bride and groom for additional recommendations.

Yes, beer and wine will be served at the reception. No liquor is allowed on the premises per county ordinances.
