The first time I laid eyes on Sam. I was working security at the Porthole with 1,200 of my closest friends. She was enjoying the chaos. I had a call for assistance which required me to maneuver through the crowd. At that moment, I avoided a collision with a large group of revelers. The lack of spacial awareness was caused by a sun drenched brunette with her token sunglasses, and heart melting smile. I stopped, took a double take. And, spent the rest of the day wondering if I would ever see this siren of my dreams ever again..
We were home in front of a group of some of our dearest friends, celebrating RJ's 33rd Birthday. He knew that this was the moment... the right moment finally. signaling to his brother to get the ring, he grabbed my attention in our kitchen, dropped to his knee and I knew the rest of my life was about to begin... but as with how our love story has gone, he opened the box to what looked like a key chain, me being me could not help but be direct "That is not the right one." As we all laughed at what was once again a silly hiccup in what is going to be an amazing life together, Dan (Who we have determined should probably be the best man haha) ran to get the right ring... and we all know the rest... I said yes!
