We met the old fashion way...you know... on a dating app, Bumble. Luckily, we both swiped right :). Our first date was in Downtown St. Pete. Ben instantly sealed the first date with asking for a second. Kate, obviously accepted!

We had planned a trip to Hawaii for Kate's 30th Birthday. Kate's friends did A LOT of convincing that there was NO WAY going to be a proposal this trip. So of course, Kate thought about it... but soon was able to get it out of her head. On our second to last day, while driving down the Road to Hana, we decided to stop at the Seven Sacred Pools in Haleakala National Park. Ben had asked to take a picture on the cliffs edge. As Ben got down on one knee, Kate immediately stated "is this for real!?!". Ben would joke around about proposing in many places around the house so Kate, at first reaction, thought "he's not really going to do this here"... until she saw the ring! We were able to celebrate with Ben's sister Angel, Brother-in-law Jerrod, and cousin Carrie the rest of the Road to Hana.
