Travel Note
Due to the remote location of our ceremony venue, ridesharing services like Uber and Lyft are not reliable. As such, we recommend arranging for a private driver if you’re planning to get to the venue by car. For your convenience, we’ll be providing a shuttle service to and from Healdsburg, stopping in Geyserville, to the ceremony site on a first come, first served basis. If you’re interested in using the shuttle, please let us know when you RSVP so we can reserve your spot. Ample parking will be available at the venue for those who prefer to drive themselves. We want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable time, so please plan ahead for your transportation!
Travel Note
1. The closest town is Cloverdale. Cloverdale is 15 minutes away and is a quiet little town. In my opinion the best restaurant is the local pizza parlor. Cloverdale is a great location if you'd like to drive out to the coast through the Redwood forests and possibly stop at a couple of off the beaten track wineries along the way or the apple farm, depending on the time of the year. 2. Next is Geyserville. Geyserville is about 20-25 minutes away and is tiny - about 1/2 mile long down the main street with few streets branching off of it. In the middle of town, you can turn East onto a continuation of Hwy 128 and go out to Calistoga, St. Helena or Napa, or to the casino located outside town. At the north end of Geyserville is the Geyserville Inn. The loveliness of this spot is that it is nearly surrounded by vineyards, so you feel the privacy and a distinct wine country vibe. The Inn has something like 41 rooms. Tiny as it is, Geyserville has some good restaurants, Catelli's is a favorite. 3. For immersion in wine country, there is Healdsburg. Healdsburg is about 30-35 minutes away from us and is a very popular vacation destination. You'll find hotels, excellent restaurants, excellent shopping, and excellent wine tasting. Along Dry Creek Road at the north end of town, wineries are spaced about 20 seconds apart, so you can go to many quite easily in one day. Lake Sonoma recreation area is out Dry Creek Road as well. Be sure to visit the Coppola Winery just north of Healdsburg if you're a movie buff. There are movie memorabilia from some of Francis Ford Coppola's famous movies (The Godfather, Tucker, and more) and a wonderful restaurant in the winery, Rustic. 4. Airbnb's. Since Mendocino and Sonoma Counties are "destination vacation" locations there are many Airbnb’s in the area.
