Constructed in 1929, the MV Skansonia ferried cars and passengers between Vashon Island and Point Defiance for decades before finding its permanent docking place on Lake Union. We loved the venue because it felt distinctly PNW and we just love a ferry boat! Please note the ferry does not "move" and will remain docked. While we hope you'll join us for the full evening, you will have the ability to come and go at any time.
Please plan for street parking, we recommend along Northlake Way and Latona. We also recommend taking a taxi or ride-share if you don't want to worry about parking.
Yes! If you noted a restriction or allergy with your RSVP it has been included in our planning.
Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outdoors, we recommend bringing sweaters or wraps for this portion. If rain chooses to appear, the ceremony will be indoors. Mid-October weather is so unpredictable in the PNW. The reception is indoors regardless of weather. Feel free to wear your fancy shoes, the entire event will be on hard floors.
Guests are asked to please arrive at 5:00 for a prompt 5:30 ceremony. The event will be over at 11:00.

We are not requiring masks but encourage anyone masking if they'd like to. There is also a new COVID-19 Vaccine! Consider getting the latest vaccine if you haven't already.
We would love to have your kids celebrate with us. Please include them in the RSVP so that we can account for them. We also want to note that the timeline of this party is not particularly "kid bedtime" friendly. If leaving your kids with a babysitter means that you can celebrate with us longer, we love that idea too.
