Gruene Hall, built in 1878, is Texas’ oldest and most famous dance hall. The 6,000 square foot dance hall with a high pitched tin roof still has the original layout with side flaps for open air dancing, a bar in the front, a small lighted stage in the back and a huge outdoor garden. Live music everyday!
Upstairs on their patio they’ve got a full bar complete with beer on tap, great wine selection, signature drinks, and margaritas. For those of y’all who are real classy, they have a downstairs speakeasy with top shelf offerings but shhhh -it’s a secret . Live music, German bratwurst, and homemade ice cream round it all out to make for the perfect hideout.
Buc-ee's is known for food, shopping, big gas stations and clean bathrooms. Try their Texas-style barbecue like brisket sandwiches, turkey, sausage and pulled pork. Other popular favorites are the beaver nuggets, fudge (made in-house) and beef jerky.
