Flight

JFK Airport

JFK airport is one of the biggest airports in the country. Guests can utilize taxi/uber services, Long Island Railroad (LIRR) commuter rail services (via Jamaica Station), or NYC Subway (via Jamaica Station) to navigate to and from the airport. Please note, if you choose to enter or exit the airport via LIRR or the subway, you will need to utilize the AirTrain to take you to/from the Jamaica station hub, to/from the airport. For more info on the airtrain, please visit this link: https://www.mta.info/guides/airports/jfk

Flight

Laguardia Airport

Laguardia is the other major airport we recommend for flying into New York. Guests can utilize taxi/uber services, or take the free shuttle to the Roosevelt Ave subway station.

Train

Amtrak

For guests traveling in from other areas of the Mid-Atlantic/East Coast, Amtrak provides a quick, comfortable alternative to driving to New York. Please select Moynihan Train Hall/Penn Station when choosing your destination

Train

Long Island Railroad

For those flying into JFK, or taking an Amtrak into Penn Station, we recommend taking the LIRR to Atlantic Terminal in Brooklyn as this station will be close to the reception venue.

Train

Subway

The good ol' fashioned New York City subway system can get you pretty much anywhere you need to go throughout the city. One way fares are $2.90 per person, with free transfers to connected lines. You can easily tap to pay using Google Wallet/Apple Pay on your phone, using your debit or credit card, or purchase an OMNY card at most subway stations. OMNY cards can also be purchased at both JFK & Laguardia airports, as well as Penn Station. For a short tutorial on using the subway while you're in town, please view the video Travis has recorded here: *insert video link*

Travel Note

Driving/Parking Note

For the uninitiated, driving in NYC is, for all intents and purposes, a nightmare. We STRONGLY discourage our guests from renting a car at the airport, or driving into the city from your home. We highly recommend guests utilize taxi/uber services or public transportation. Please note: If you insist on driving yourself in the city, there is no parking lot at either the church or the reception venue. You will be limited to finding street parking or paying roughly $50 for a parking garage a few blocks away from either location.
