What is the dress code?

We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day! Dress code is formal attire.

Are kids welcome?
Answer
We love your little ones! Kids are welcome to attend the ceremony, however we have decided to keep our reception adults-only with the exception of immediate family. We encourage you to use this evening as a date night!

Can I bring a date?
Answer
Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, it will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!

Will the wedding take place indoors or outside?
Answer
The ceremony will take place outside and the reception will be held indoors. Please be prepared for IL weather! In the event of a rain-out, we will host the ceremony at our reception venue indoors - The Standard.

Can we take pictures?
Answer
We are having an "unplugged ceremony" with no phones/cameras. The greatest gift you can give us is being fully present as we say "I do"! We have hired professionals to capture this moment for us and will share them once they are available. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos as you would like!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Please arrive prior to 4:15 PM to find a seat and enjoy the botanical garden scenery!

Is there free parking for ceremony and reception?
Answer
Yes, there is free parking for both Klehm Arboretum and the Standard. Please see Travel page for parking information at the Embassy Suites.

Will there be a bar?
Answer
Yes! There will be an open bar during cocktail hour and after dinner ON US! Please bring cash to tip our amazing bartenders!

What should I do if I can't make it?
Answer
You will be missed! If you cannot make it, please indicate accordingly on our RSVP tab so we can plan respectively.
