Matthew and Sidney first met in high school biology class. At the time, we were simply classmates sharing labs, notes, and the everyday moments of school. After graduation in 2016, their lives took them in different directions, and we eventually lost touch as we each followed our own paths. Matthew took a gap year and Sidney continued her education. In 2018 allowing life to bring them back together unexpectedly, then allowing them both to finish college together. What started as reconnecting and catching up quickly turned into something more meaningful. We soon realized how much we enjoyed spending time together outside our friend group and getting to know each other again in a new chapter of life. Since then, we’ve been building a relationship filled with laughter, support, and many of our favorite traditions. One of them being our many matcha dates, which have become a simple but special way for us to spend time together. Matthew made our story even more unforgettable when he surprised Sidney with a proposal in New York. It was a moment she will always cherish, and was completely surprised in the best way. From meeting in high school to reconnecting years later and now planning our future together, our story has come full circle and we can’t wait to begin this next chapter as husband and wife.
