It all started at McAlister’s Deli in Manhattan, Kansas, not exactly the setting of a fairy tale, but it worked for us! We met on the job, and Matthew was assigned to train Sydney during her first few days. From learning how to use the register to closing the restaurant. Not long after Matthew moved out of Manhattan to pursue his first engineering job and Sydney still living in Manhattan focusing on her education at KState. At first, Sydney didn't think Matthew was her type, and honestly found him a little quirky. Meanwhile, Matthew thought she was cute, shy, and a hard worker. Each weekend Matthew would travel up to Manhattan to visit old friends and of course Sydney. This sweet and unexpected friendship grew overtime and we soon became each others best friends. A few months passed we starting dating and our love only grew deeper as we learned more about each other. Little did we know God had lots in store for us! From farmers market adventures to swing-dancing dates and late-night stargazing, each little moment became a chapter in our story. And now, here we are, one incredible journey later standing at the beginning of forever. 💗
