Question

What is the date and time of the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will begin at 4 PM on April 10th, 2027. We recommend that you arrive 30 minutes early in order to park, locate the ceremony space, get seated, and settle in.

Question

Are the ceremony and the reception held in the same location?

Answer

No! Our ceremony will be held in The Kenmore Ballroom (76 N Pearl Street, Albany, NY 12207). There will be signage in front of the door and staff inside who will lead you to the ceremony space within the building. The cocktail hour and reception will be held at The State Room (100 State Street, Albany, NY 12207) starting at 5 PM. The distance between the two locations is a 6-minute walk down N Pearl Street. There will be a 30-minute gap in time between the ceremony and cocktail hour to allow guests enough time to transition between the two locations and for family/bridal party to complete formal photos.

Question

If I'm walking between the two buildings, what will the weather be like?

Answer

According to Google, the weather in Albany, NY, in April is "moderately chilly and breezy." Temperatures during the day can range between 50s-60s, with the low at night typically ranging between 30s-40s. Please dress accordingly! There will be room for coats to be stored at both locations.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both locations will be indoors!

Question

Is parking available?

Answer

Yes, one of the local hotels that has a connection with our reception space coordinator will provide free parking for all guests on the day of the ceremony.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

We will have a shuttle running for the 30-minute gap between the ceremony and the cocktail hour to transition between locations. If you choose to take the 6-minute walk, be prepared for sidewalks in a downtown area. There will not be a shuttle at the end of the night between hotel locations as the recommended options are mostly within walking/uber/lyft distance.

Question

Where shoud I stay?

Answer

If you click on our travel tab, we have recommended hotels that are all conveniently located within a manageable distance of both the ceremony and reception space!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up with us! We are requesting formal attire for the evening. For women, this typically means a floor-length gown, a fancy cocktail dress, or a dressy pantsuit. For men, a suit and tie, or tuxedo are both wonderful options. Please no casual/streetwear and please do not wear white.

Question

How can I avoid matching a bridesmaid?

Answer

Our bridesmaids will be wearing various shades of blue, including navy, blue floral patterns, twilight blue, slate blue, and ice blue.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

In order to keep our wedding as intimate as possible, only guests formally invited on your wedding invitation will be accommodated. If you receive a plus one, this option will appear when you go to RSVP.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? What if I missed it?

Answer

Once the invites are sent, we will update the website with a specific RSVP deadline. This due date will also be written on your invitation. If we do not receive your RSVP by this date, we will unfortunately have to mark your choice as "No." We will miss celebrating with you, but it is imperative that we provide our vendors with a final guest count within the time frame they have given us. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love all of your little ones, this is strictly an adults-only occasion. With the exception of the immediate family of the bridal party.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you put your phones and cameras away during the ceremony. Please do not record videos, take pictures, or go live during our ceremony. We want you all to be present with us in the moment. We have a professional photographer and content creator who will capture all of the special moments for us! Please feel free to take pictures and videos during the cocktail hour and reception.

Question

With there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! There will be an open, premium bar provided during cocktail hour, as well as the remainder of the reception. This includes liquor, beer, wine, soda, and water. Drinks on us! Please no BYOB, our venue has a strict policy on licensed bartending only.

Question

What should I do if I have a dietary restriction?

Answer

Please let us know on your RSVP if you have a specific dietary restriction that you will need accommodated. It will be an easy fix as long as we are made aware with enough time to inform our reception vendor. All hors d'oeuvres are individually plated, so feel free to ask staff any questions you have about ingredients.

Question

Is there a registry?

Answer

While your presence is truly the best gift we could ask for, if you would like to contribute to our next chapter, we are registered at a couple of locations. There is a tab labeled "registry" where you can find items we have selected. There will also be an option for monetary gifts or contributions toward our honeymoon fund.
