When Luke commented "Hey your name sounds familiar, do I know you?" under one of Hannah's posts on social media (after contemplating what to say for nearly two days), he didn't realize that he was reaching out to his future wife. After a few messages back and forth every now and then, they decided to meet in person at the gym for the first time. On the way home that day, they realized they lived in the same neighborhood. Luke spontaneously asked Hannah to go for a drive a few days later and they talked for hours. From then on, seeing each other became part of their daily routines. Within a few weeks, they became official on June 21st, 2023. From then on, they would continue to grow and nurture their relationship into something everlasting.

Luke proposed on July 20, 2025 in Belle Isle, Detroit on the two year anniversary of the day they first said "I love you". They spent a few hours on the island after the proposal exploring the gardens and soaking in the feeling of being newly engaged. Little did she know, this was also a distraction and Luke's way of buying time. He surprised Hannah with an engagement party at home afterwards with their immediate family and closest friends who worked together to make his vision come to life. It was the most beautiful day surrounded by those who love us most.
