Frequently Asked Questions

Question

Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

We are having our Wedding Ceremony & Reception at Meadow Hills Farm at 869 Bear Creek Pike, Columbia TN (just off of Highway 412)

Question

What time is the Ceremony?

Answer

We don't have an exact time, but the current plan is to start at 3PM Central, for optimal sunset picture opportunity!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-Formal (Sunday Best) No color requirements other than please no white/cream dresses!

Question

What's the weather like there that time of year?

Answer

Most likely won't have cooled off too much yet, so likely in the 50-60s. Please use your best judgment, check the weather a week out, and pack layers!

Question

Is the ceremony inside or outside?

Answer

We are planning an outside ceremony, weather permitting, but have an indoor backup on location just in case.

Question

What should I expect after the ceremony?

Answer

An hour of photos and general socializing, hors d'oeuvres . After an hour or so, the reception will start and will last until about 10 or so.

Question

Is there ample parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! Plenty!

Question

Is transportation going to be provided for guests that are flying in?

Answer

Once we get a better idea of our guest count and how many are flying in, we'll decide whether we rent a shuttle, or deploy a small army of volunteer carpoolers to move people between the venue and the hotel. (Let us know if you would like to help with that!)

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Use the RSVP link above!

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please submit RSVPs by October 1st.

Question

Can I bring my kids? Will there be on-site babysitting?

Answer

We have the utmost respect for parents, and how difficult it is to juggle parenting and events like weddings. Because of that, we want our wedding to serve as a break from those responsibilities. For that reason, and to try to keep our guest count dialed in, our wedding is going to be Adults-only. For those of you that this will inconvenience, we will miss you, but we understand completely. And we will do our best to provide some sort of virtual option for those that cannot attend.

Question

Can I bring my partner?

Answer

We do not intend to offer blanket plus ones. Generally, we hope to be close friends with your partner and would have included them on your invitation. But if we forget, and you think we should extend an invitation to them as well, please message us privately.

Question

Will there be a virtual wedding?

Answer

Due to COVID-19 and other health concerns, financial or other logistical barriers, we understand that not all that we would like to attend can, so we are exploring avenues by which to offer virtual streaming. Stay Tuned.

Question

Will there be a hotel block available? Where should I stay?

Answer

We have a hotel block with a number of rooms. If those fill up, there are at least 3 other hotels in the immediate area (It's right off the interstate)

Question

Is the Reception and Ceremony wheel-chair accessible?

Answer

Yes it is.

Question

What kind of food and drink will be served at the reception?

Answer

Our event will be catered by CJ's catering, with a choice of two entrees and 1 appetizer, and 2 sides. It will be buffet style, meaning you can have any or all of these. We will be serving refreshments, no alcohol will be served.

Question

I have a dietary restriction, how should I communicate that with you?

Answer

Please text Emily or Drew as soon as possible so we can communicate it to the caterer and work around it to the best of our ability.
